I saw WALL-E again recently and felt that the first half hour was as best as genre cinema could ever get. I thought it blended western, film noir, fantasy, sci-fi, romance and comedy so effectively. But then, the second half was bit of a let down.

Can’t agree with your review more. One of the best pictures i have seen in a long long time. The two “lead” actors are just phenomenal and so endearing.

However, i thought the whole men getting fatter and pampered was more of a critique of today’s lifestyle where men care little about their surroundings and lead a lifestyle with little physical exercise.
