I just corrected the quote in the trailer that you mention. True, that was one of the complaints many had about the film, that there were not enough of the Basterds. But then that would have been so ordinary…

I did not quiet get your comment or if you were trying to be quirky however what I meant was this movie is totally different from what it set out to be, in other words if you name your movie Inglorious basterds, I would expect the movie to be a lot more about them. Hope that it makes sense to you.

Here is my take on the movie, firstly I saw the trailer and was blown away. The idea for this movie was brilliant, who would not want to see a team of soldiers with the only objective of killing nazi’s. I thought brilliant, then came a line in the trailer stating “Gore like never seen before through the eyes of QT” I thought even more amazing. I came out of the movie, asked myself how gory was this movie? How many stylized ways of killing were shown?Wait how long were the basterds part of the movie? I walked home thinking so much for the hype.
