I’m a little late getting here but as always I’m never disappointed. This time I am enraptured by the presentation complete with the marvelous inclusion of the you tube of this strinking short film from the silent era. And even more remarkably, it’s from a very early juncture. Nice reference point there comparing it to Brakage’s MOTHLIGHT! Indeed. And yes there is sinister charm indeed here to blend effectively with the slapstick. Starawicz is one of those forgotten geniuses, but hopefully he’ll be remembered in the upcoming silent poll.

Utterly terrific stuff here.
